The 1873 Society is where the people and businesses who believe in a healthier Northwest Florida put that belief into action. It's a giving circle built on a simple idea: real change happens when a community invests in itself.
Named for the year our medical society was founded, the 1873 Society has its roots in the physician community — and today it's open to anyone who shares our vision. Physician, business leader, community advocate, or neighbor who just believes in what local philanthropy can do — this is your circle too.
Membership starts with a gift of $3,000 to the ECMS Foundation. Give it all at once, or — as an exclusive perk for active ECMS physician members — spread it across three annual contributions of $1,000.
Businesses, this is your invitation too. As a Corporate Patron, your company joins the 1873 Society with a one-time gift of $3,000 — putting your name alongside the region's most engaged healthcare champions while showing your community exactly where you stand.
Every dollar goes directly to supporting the Foundation's programs for underserved patients and the physicians who care for them. This isn't just a donation — it's a stake in the health of the community you live and work in.
Join the 1873 Society and your name won't just be on a list — it'll be part of the story. Members and Corporate Patrons alike are recognized with:
The 1873 Society also welcomes Memorial Contributions as a meaningful way to honor a loved one's legacy while investing in the health and well-being of our community.
The ECMS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential healthcare services to underserved populations in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties and to supporting the physicians who serve these communities.
