Go Seniors! Transportation Program

Empowering Elderly Care through Mobility

At the heart of the ECMS Foundation's mission lies a commitment to supporting underserved communities. The Go Seniors! Transportation Program is designed specifically to help our vulnerable elderly population access healthcare services by providing financial assistance for transportation, thereby enabling physicians to more effectively care for a demographic with limited resources.

Program Overview

With the help of a generous grant from the Fellows Foundation, the Go Seniors! Transportation Program provides crucial financial support to help elderly patients get to the medical care they require.

Key Features:

  • Eligibility: Available to patients aged 60 and over.
  • Access: Patients can obtain e-vouchers through their physician's office.
  • Participation: No cost to enroll in the program.
  • Assistance Provided: Each voucher provides $20 toward transportation costs. Vouchers are distributed two at a time to support round-trip travel to medical appointments.
  • Important Note: The $20 voucher is intended to assist with transportation expenses. Depending on the distance traveled and transportation method used, patients may be responsible for any costs exceeding the voucher amount.
  • Purpose: Vouchers can be used for travel related to healthcare needs within Pensacola, including doctor visits, pharmacy runs, and laboratory services.

This initiative helps reduce financial barriers to healthcare access for seniors and supports physicians in delivering comprehensive care to an often underserved segment of our community. By providing transportation assistance, the Go Seniors! Program ensures that essential health services are more accessible for our elderly population, promoting a healthier, more connected community.

Participating Physician Practices

The Go Seniors! Transportation Program partners with physician practices, clinics, and healthcare facilities throughout Escambia County to help elderly patients access essential medical services.

For Patients: If you are aged 60 or over and need transportation assistance to medical appointments, please speak with your physician's office to see if they participate in the program and to request e-vouchers. All program access is handled directly through your healthcare provider.

For Healthcare Providers: Interested in Joining the Program?

Important Note: The ECMS Foundation works exclusively with healthcare providers to administer the Go Seniors! Transportation Program. Patients and caregivers should contact their physician's office directly for all program inquiries and voucher requests—please do not contact the Foundation directly. This approach ensures efficient program delivery and allows your healthcare provider to offer tailored support aligned with your medical needs.
