Empowering Physician Health and Resilience
The Physician Wellness Program (PWP) by the Escambia County Medical Society Foundation is dedicated to the well-being of our physician members. It offers a sanctuary for wellness coaching, providing confidential support to address life's challenges, promoting a healthy balance between work, life, and family.
Purpose of the Program
Physicians encounter unique stresses within their professional and personal lives, from navigating the complexities of healthcare delivery to maintaining personal relationships. The PWP was established recognizing that physicians, too, need a trusted source for guidance and support. Addressing these challenges head-on can significantly reduce stress, enhancing resilience, effectiveness, and overall well-being.
Addressing Key Challenges:
How PWP Operates
The ECMS Foundation has engaged Dr. Rick Spencer, a licensed clinical psychologist, to offer up to three wellness coaching sessions annually to active members of the Escambia/Santa Rosa County Medical Society. Ensuring utmost confidentiality, the program operates without insurance billing, and the ECMS Foundation remains uninformed of participant identities.
